Frequently Asked Questions

What is FRP Rebar?

FRP Rebar is a composite material consisting of two elements: 1. Fibre (Carbon, Glass, Basalt) that provides strength and stiffness. 2. Matrix (Polyester, Epoxy, Vinyl Ester) that protects and transfers the load between the fibres. It will be used to reinforce concrete.

What sizes are avaliable?

Currently, we are selling 10 mm (#3) and 13 mm (#4) Rebar that is a direct replacement to steel.

How do I cut GatorBar?

The best way to cut GatorBar is by using a High Speed Grinder with a Fine Masonary or Diamond Coated Blade. Conventional Hack Saw is also usable. Please ensure you wear protective wear during any cutting of GatorBar.

How do I set up GatorBar for a slab-on-grade pour?

You set up the GatorBar exactly as you would with steel. Ideally the GatorBar sits 50mm below the final surface height of the slab, ensuring it is at least mid-height of the slab.

How much will it cost?

GatorBar is competitively priced to that of steel. Call us today on 01603 266111 for a quote, or email us using info@gatorbar.co.uk or contact us via the website contact form.
